  1. INTRODUCTION

Bergen Synergy Holding AS ("Bergen Synergy") is committed to conducting its business in a responsible manner and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. This includes respecting fundamental human rights and ensuring decent working conditions within our own operations, supply chain, and business relationships.

 

This statement is prepared in accordance with the Norwegian Transparency Act ("Apenhetsloven") and describes the company's due diligence efforts related to human rights and working conditions.

 

2. ORGANISATION AND OPERATIONS

Bergen Synergy Holding AS is a Norwegian-based group engaged in energy-related activities and associated services. The company operates primarily in the Nordic market and collaborates with a range of suppliers and business partners.

 

3. POLICIES AND GOVERNANCE

Bergen Synergy has established guidelines and procedures to support responsible business conduct. This includes a Supplier Code of Conduct, which sets out expectations for suppliers regarding compliance with applicable laws and regulations, respect for fundamental human rights, provision of decent working conditions, and anti-corruption and ethical business practices.

 

4. DUE DILIGENCE PROCESSES

Bergen Synergy conducts risk-based due diligence assessments in line with the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. These assessments are intended to identify, prevent, mitigate, and account for potential adverse impacts on human rights and working conditions.

 

5. IDENTIFIED RISKS AND MEASURES

Based on current assessments, the primary risk of adverse impacts is linked to the supply chain, particularly in relation to subcontractors and operations in higher-risk jurisdictions.

 

To address these risks, Bergen Synergy has implemented measures such as requiring suppliers to adhere to the Supplier Code of Conduct, requesting suppliers to carry out their own due diligence assessments, establishing routines for reporting and follow-up of potential breaches, and engaging with suppliers to improve transparency and compliance.

 

6. FUTURE WORK

Bergen Synergy will continue to develop and strengthen its due diligence processes, including improved risk assessments, supplier follow-up, and internal awareness. The company aims to further enhance its approach in line with regulatory expectations and recognised best practice.

This statement will be made publicly available on the company's website within 30 June 2026 and will be updated annually in accordance with the requirements of the Norwegian Transparency Act.
